Who is your ideal client?
You've been in business 5–50 years (with about as many employees), doing somewhere around $500K–$10M a year. You do good work, but selling it is hard. You know brand matters, but it's not your thing. Maybe you just took over the company. You want to expand, launch a new product/service, or you just can't explain what makes you different. Read more
Do you work with my industry?
Probably. I've worked in just about every space you can think of. Everything from builders, foodies, doctors, churches, immigrant attorneys, ball python breeders, to global manufacturers, even Army rappers. They all struggle with the same lack of clarity. Read more
Do you work with startups?
Absolutely. I love working with startup founders with big ideas and nowhere to go but up. There's no better time to get clear on what makes you special than from day one. It's easier to build it right the first time than fix something broken later. Read more
What makes you different?
I'm somewhere between a CMO and an agency. I help founders get clear on what they believe, then design their entire business around it. Strategy, brand, marketing, operations, all of it. Most consultants tell you what to do but don't help you do it. Agencies get work done but don't stick around. I do both. Read more
Do I have to start with strategy?
No. But without it, I'm guessing at what makes you special and how to sell it. You'll waste money on marketing that doesn't work because we don't know what we're actually trying to say, who it's for, or how it's meaningfully different. Without strategy, we're both flying blind. Read more
What do you actually do?
After 10+ years as a hands-on creative director, I've built everything from idea to impact. Strategy, naming, identity, logos, campaigns, scripts, brand management, you name it. Most people just call me their "brand guy." If it's outside my lane (developers, photo/video, social), I'll help you find the right fit and manage the project.
What's it like working together?
It's open and collaborative. I share ideas early and often so you're never surprised at some big reveal after weeks of radio silence. I share one strong direction with tons of examples to give you a clear picture of how everything comes together in the "real world". Revisions are rarely needed because we built it together from the start.
Do you respond to RFPs?
No. At least not in the traditional sense of swapping 50-page decks in a silent bidding war. If you're locked in an RFP process but think there might be a fit, reach out. I'll see if I can help you work through it. If we're not the right fit, I'm happy to help you find someone who is.
What's expected of me?
For this to work, four things need to be true:
Participation of decision maker(s)
Budget is already set aside
You're ready now, not "eventually"
Honesty and mutual respect
How soon can we start?
Usually within 1-2 weeks. I cap my active roster at 4 clients so everyone gets my full attention, which sometimes means a short wait. I work alone, plus or minus a freelancer here and there. So, when you hire me, you get me.
Do you take on smaller projects?
Sometimes, when there's a good fit. If you want to see what it's like working together before committing to something bigger, or need help with something specific like a website refresh, campaign, or collateral, reach out. We'll see if it makes sense.

Who is your ideal client?
You’ve been in business 5–50 years (with about as many employees), doing somewhere around $500K–$5M a year. You do good work, but something isn’t working. The market changed, leadership changed, or you just can’t explain what makes you different. You know brand matters, but it’s not your thing. And you’re ready to take massive action, not just get a makeover.
